Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Overtime required. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Experience: Will train. Other benefits: Learning/training paid by employer.
