Be part of it by applying for a position with us today.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>The Team:</b><br><br>The Medical Authorization Centre (MAC) Pharmacy is responsible for making decisions concerning health needs for products that require authorization. In this role you will service various contracts and work as a member of an overall medical professional team.<br><br>The primary goal of this unit is to provide positive health care outcomes through on-line case assessment using computer technology.</p><p></p><p>Work location can be remote from home, and the hours of operation for this team range from Monday to Friday 6:45am to 8:30pm Atlantic Time.<br>We work a 7.5 hours workday, a 37.5 hour work week: No overnight, No weekends.<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Make decisions concerning clients? health needs for products that require authorization</p></li><li><p>Administer process for special authorization decisions through the interactive use of telecommunications and ? applied on-line POS technology</p></li><li><p>Utilize your medical background, knowledge and experience to render decisions</p></li><li><p>Liaison with the customers and other health care professionals to ensure treatment requests are appropriately administered</p></li><li><p>Provide a positive and efficient customer service experience for providers and clients</p></li><li><p>Support positive health care outcomes through on-line case assessment using computer technology</p></li><li><p>In this position you will work various shifts between 6:45 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Friday</p></li><li><p>You have the ability to work remotely, hybrid or in the office - let us know what works for you!</p></li></ul><p><br><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p></p><p><b><i>Education:</i></b> Active Registered Nurse</p><p></p><p><i><b>Work Experience</b></i>: Have a minimum of <b>5 years</b> practical nursing experience, including knowledge of medical conditions in relationship to pharmaceutical treatment</p><p>-Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills</p><p></p><p>-Multi-tasker and thrive in a fast-paced environment</p><p></p><p>-Superior verbal communication skills</p><p></p><p>-Ability to work shift work on a rotating basis</p><p></p><p><b><i>Computer Skills:</i></b> possess strong computer skills or aptitude</p><p></p><p><b><i>Language Skills:</i></b> Bilingualism (<b>English and French</b>) is required</p><p><br><b>We offer a best-in-class comprehensive total rewards package.
