The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heat pump systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Installation:</strong> Install air-source, ground-source, or hybrid heat pump systems, including connecting ductwork, wiring, and plumbing components.</li><li><strong>Maintenance and Repairs:</strong> Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of heat pumps, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.</li><li><strong>System Design Assistance:</strong> Collaborate with engineers or sales teams to determine system specifications and layouts based on customer needs.</li><li><strong>Customer Interaction:</strong> Communicate with clients to explain installation processes, provide operational guidance, and address concerns.</li><li><strong>Compliance:</strong> Ensure all work meets local building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.</li><li><strong>Documentation:</strong> Complete accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance services.</li><li><strong>Team Collaboration:</strong> Work effectively with other technicians, electricians, and subcontractors on projects.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience as a heat pump installer, HVAC technician, or similar role.</li><li>Certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field (e.g., EPA 608 certification).</li><li>Knowledge of heat pump technologies, including air-source and ground-source systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.</li><li>Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to heat pump installation and repair.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces, outdoor settings, and elevated locations.</li><li>Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working on ladders or scaffolding.</li></ul><p><strong>Licenses:</strong></p><ul><li>Valid driver's license.</li><li>Red Seal HVAC license</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary with opportunities for overtime and bonuses.</li><li>Comprehensive training and professional development programs.</li><li>Benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.</li><li>A supportive and collaborative team environment.</li><li>Opportunities for career advancement within a growing company.</li></ul></div></div>- LocationHalifax, NS
