If you are looking for a long-term position where you can join and grow with the rest of our team, we want to hear from you!* *Position:* *Service HVAC/R Apprentice* *Job Description:* * Service and maintenance of all types of commercial, multi-family residential and light industrial HVAC & R equipment. * Reporting to the Service Manager, while working under the direct supervision of a Journeyperson, typical daily work consists of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment. *Requirements:* * At a minimum, completion of Level 1 through an ITA recognized school. (Preferred). * Valid Class 5 BC Driver?s License and clean drivers abstract (required). * Must be able to carry out basic and complex instructions provided by the Journeyman, often with little supervision. * Ability to handle HVAC/R tools and equipment (hand tools, power tools, etc.) correctly and in a safe manner. * Highly dependable/capable to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment where schedules may change from time to time to meet business needs. * Effective time management skills, detail oriented, and can work well under pressure. * Demonstrates strong communication skills with all team members. * Excellent customer service with ability to deal with customers in stressful situations or with language barriers calmly and efficiently. *Work Commitment:* * At a minimum, must be available during the core business hours of 8:00 AM ? 4:30 PM (with a half hour lunch), Monday through Friday. (40 to 45 hours a week, on average). * Ability to attend occasional overtime call outs. (Required). * Rotating weekend on-call shifts to satisfy our customers? needs. (Required). * You will be working mostly in the lower mainland, with occasional trips into the Fraser Valley and sea to sky corridor. *What We Offer: UA Local 516 Union Agreement ?
