*Job Summary* We are seeking an independent, dedicated and knowledgeable Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a passion for providing exceptional legal services. This role involves representing clients in various legal matters, conducting thorough research, and ensuring compliance with the law. The successful candidate will be adept at legal drafting, negotiation, and effective communication. We have the ability to generate high level catastrophic injury WCB files. *Duties* * Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations. * Draft legal documents including contracts, briefs, and various court documents. * Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes. * Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations while providing strategic guidance. * Maintain accurate records of case files and documentation. * Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure comprehensive case management. *Experience* * Must be a member in good standing the the Law Society of British Columbia. * Experience in legal research, writing, and drafting is highly desirable. * Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements or outcomes. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective client interaction and representation. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. * Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC policies, procedures and the appeal process.
