Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Layer poultry farming. Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Livestock. Poultry and egg production. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Direct farm feed inventory activities . Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform livestock feeding. Track and report on current feed inventory . Treat livestock health issues. Feed and tend animals. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Maintain financial and production records. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Maintain quality control and production records. Maintain work records and logs. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform general farm duties. Write daily basic progress reports. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Supervision: 3-4 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Egg gathering system. Feeding and watering system. Tractor. Loader. Skidsteer. Hand tools. Area of specialization: Agricultural livestock service. Poultry.
