Education: Master's degree. Food science. Engineering, general. Management science. Work setting: Grading. Food processing industry. Food and beverage plant. Oversee the quarantine, treatment or destruction of plants and plant products. Monitor the operations and sanitary conditions of slaughtering and meat processing plants . Interpret and explain government acts and regulations . Inspect processing methods. Enforce government acts and regulations . Conduct fumigation of plants and plant product imports and exports. Collect samples from plants or products. Specialized audio or video systems: Computer graphic imagery system. Analytical techniques: Sampling. Computer and technology knowledge: Word processing software. Spreadsheet. HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) knowledge. Type of species: Atlantic groundfish. Atlantic shellfish.
