*Position Overview*
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will take on a critical leadership role, managing a team of three coordinators and ensuring seamless supply chain operations. This full-time, on-site position involves strategic planning, performance analysis, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on operational excellence and leveraging advanced tools and systems.
*Role & Responsibilities*
* *Supply Chain Strategy:* Develop and execute strategies, integrating demand forecasts, supplier schedules, and distribution plans for ethnic food products.
* *Performance Analysis:* Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to analyze supply chain metrics (costs, lead times, etc.), driving efficiency and meeting annual cost reduction goals.
* *Team Leadership:* Supervise and mentor three coordinators (Procurement & Import, Inventory & Production, Logistics & Distribution), ensuring team KPIs are achieved.
* *Supplier Management:* Negotiate contracts with local and international suppliers to secure quality and cost-effective terms.
* *Regulatory Compliance:* Ensure adherence to FDA, CFIA, and CBSA regulations, including trademark compliance, food safety standards (e.g., HACCP), and experience with the CARM portal for customs and duty management; conduct quality audits as needed.
* *Resolution:* Address operational challenges (e.g., customs delays, duty disputes) within stipulated timelines to maintain continuity.
* *Technology Utilization:* Leverage ERP systems and data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI or similar tools) for planning, tracking, and reporting; train staff on system usage.
* *Reporting:* Generate actionable insights through KPI reports, using data analytics to inform leadership decisions.
*Qualifications*
* *Experience:* 5?7 years in supply chain management, ideally in food production, import, or distribution, with specific experience handling trademarks, FDA, CFIA, and CBSA requirements.
* *Education:* Bachelor?s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; certifications (e.g., SCMP) preferred.
* *Regulatory Expertise:* In-depth knowledge of FDA, CFIA, and CBSA regulations, including CARM portal usage and duty management processes.
* *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in ERP systems, Power BI (or similar data analytics tools), and supply chain technologies.
* *Leadership Abilities:* Proven skills in team supervision, training, and fostering collaboration.
* *Problem-Solving:* Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
* *Flexibility:* Willingness to adapt to varying schedules as needed to meet operational demands.
