*Job Summary* Terroir Restaurant at the Old Orchard Inn is seeking an experienced and dynamic *Restaurant Supervisor* to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for the food industry. The Restaurant Supervisor will play a key role in driving team performance, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality. *Responsibilities* * Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including training, and coaching team members to foster a motivated and efficient workforce. * Oversee efficient service delivery during peak operating hours and help build server knowledge of our food and beverage menu items. * Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to maintain health standards. * Supervise food service operations, including serving guests, managing reservations, and coordinating kitchen activities. * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with restaurant manager to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and supplies. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with health regulations. * Handle customer complaints or concerns promptly to ensure guest satisfaction. * Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall guest experience. *Requirements* * Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food service or hospitality industry. * Preference given to someone with strong wine knowledge. * Experience with POS systems ; cash handling skills are essential. * Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management, supervising staff * Familiarity with restaurant operations including food handling, serving, kitchen management, and hospitality best practices. * Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. * Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is considered a plus but not required. * Knowledge of the food industry trends and hospitality standards is preferred.
