Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Handling animals. Perform livestock feeding. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?.
