Advanced Energy Minerals Canada, a high-purity alumina manufacturer, invested over $27M in purchasing a kiln for its plant in Cap-Chat. The company, which has 90 employees in Gaspésie and Montréal, hopes to hire around 30 additional staff by next year.
Unipêche M.D.M., a seafood processor, is investing $7.8M in adding a lobster production line to its plant in Saint-Maxime-du-Mont-Louis. The new line helped the company consolidate around 40 seasonal positions. The project should be complete in April 2025.
The federal government is granting over $10M to 11 businesses and organizations in Gaspésie to support their development. The total investment in these 11 projects is valued at nearly $86.5M.

The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable du Québec began rehabilitation work on the bridge over the Petit Pabos River in Chandler. The $25M project will be carried out by CRT Construction, a contractor from Lévis. The project will be ongoing until 2025.
