The region of Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean will receive around $99M over four years from the Government of Quebec to support municipal drinking water system, road, and green energy projects. Among others, the Ville de Saguenay is receiving $43M.
The Ville de Dolbeau-Mistassini received $5M in provincial funding to build water systems in a section of the town. Construction, which is estimated at over $9M, has begun. The project will be finished by the spring of 2025.
The Government of Quebec has started construction on a traffic circle at the intersection of three roads near the municipality of Saint-Bruno. The investment is nearly $8M.
The Mashteuiatsh Band Council and the Quebec government will invest at least $5M in a road construction project to create a safe passageway and reduce heavy truck traffic on the community's territory
