Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Millwork shop. Prefab/shop fabrication. Various locations. Tasks: Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made. Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Clean work area. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Standing for extended periods.
