*Overview*
We are seeking a dynamic, *experienced* Event Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects associated with the seamless execution of all internal and external events, both big and small, for the Association?s Members, Board of Directors and fellow Staff. The Event Planner will create, develop and facilitate onsite, all events to meet or exceed expectations on time, and on budget.
We require a Team member that has experience from the initial planning of the event, through to the completion of event. The scope of your services includes (but is not limited to) site/content selection, event design, contract negotiations, communications, event execution, budget management and stakeholder relations
The successful candidate will also be responsible for general administrative duties as it relates to the position, and must possess strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

*Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)*
* Conduct research, lead site visits, find resources and creative solutions for event possibilities regarding venues, activities, external vendors and suppliers
* Participate in the creation and development of event strategies and themes while developing and maintaining a critical path/timeline for each event/project
* Seek out new professional development opportunities, sponsors and programs for the benefit of CLAR Members
* Coordinate with facilitators, and the CEO for events and seminars and act as the Team liaison between guest speakers, instructors, trainers, vendors, sponsors and facility staff
* Develop event budgets and ensure all expenditures stay within the allocated budget
* Support the design and production of event communications by working closely with the Communications department to create content for all invitations, presentations, promotional materials, event signage, post-event surveys etc., and ensure the material is designed, proofed and ready for distribution well in advance of the event
* Facilitate and execute all pre-event and post-event responsibilities.
* Oversee event setup, all aspects of the event, including seating arrangements, and audiovisual equipment, table swag/flowers and tear down
* Maintain accurate records of participants, survey reports and event revenue and expenses
* Manage event timelines, workback flow to ensure all activities run smoothly and on schedule
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in *full* event management, hospitality, or related field is required
* Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
* Proficient in budgeting and financial management
* Superior interpersonal, people and communication (written and verbal) skills to work efficiently with CLAR members, vendors, staff and leadership
* Experience interacting with executives and senior leaders, coordination with a broad range of stakeholders, and ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Highly motivated, innovated thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, resolve conflicts and make independent decisions in stressful situations with high expectations of quality. Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to multitask and successfully manage several events/projects at any given time.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to proprietary software
* Member service-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding Members expectations
* Knowledge of the real estate profession is an asset
