We are looking for an experienced *Millwright* with enthusiasm and excellent work ethic to join our fast-growing team. You?ll find yourself working in various settings for different industrial, construction and aggregate projects. Reporting to our *Shop Facilitator* your job duties will include; *Job Duties* * Repair broken or defective machine parts, using welding and brazing tools * Align equipment by using specialized tools (e.g. micrometer, plumb bobs) * Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals * Disassemble machine parts when transporting or repairing them, and reassemble the parts * Visit construction/aggregate sites to assess potential problems or needs * Collaborate with other departments or internal companies * Perform other duties as assigned. *Requirements* * 5 years proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar role * Hands-on experience with construction, aggregate equipment and machinery * Must have own tools * Availability to travel locally to different sites * Strong communication and computational skills * Certification as a Millwright based on national standards * Applicable licenses to operate forklifts and other related machinery * Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans * A solid understanding of all welding techniques * Strong leadership and delegation skills * Strong time management, communication and problem-solving skills * Possess a valid driver's license * Ability to work independently in a busy environment * High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning * Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures * Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment * Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing * Able to work well under pressure * Strong attention to detail * Able to deal with people in a competent and professional manner in line with the company?s mission, vision and values. * Working knowledge of Microsoft computer software including but not limited to Excel, Word and Outlook) *Work Conditions* · Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs · Unionized · Travel to off-site locations will be required · Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc. · Hazards associated with the trade · Work both indoors and outdoors in all 4 seasons, as required · Will be exposed to construction and open pit mining sites *Job Type:* Full-time Hourly: *$36.90 *per hour Opportunity for over time *Benefits:* Pension Dental care Vision care *Schedule:* 7am to 5pm Monday to Thursday 7am to 1:30pm Friday Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $36.90 per hour Benefits: * Company pension * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care * Wellness program Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationAyr, ON
