Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Retirement home. Tasks: Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities. Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment. Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Supply and empty bed pans. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Supervise patients' exercise routines. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Immunization records. Vulnerable sector check. Tuberculosis test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks.
