Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Confined spaces. Work setting: Machinery installation. Maintenance. Repair. Willing to relocate. Machine set-up. Tasks: Coach and instruct apprentices. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Estimate costs and materials. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Type of knitting machines: Hosiery, double cylinder. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Area of specialization: Troubleshooting.
