The *Manager, EPR Operation*s is responsible for overseeing the operationalization and continuous improvement of Alberta?s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system. Working closely with the Regulatory Operations Manager and Manager, EPR Strategy, this role ensures that Alberta?s EPR framework functions effectively and aligns with regulatory intent, industry best practices, and stakeholder needs. This role focuses on system oversight, operational coordination, stakeholder engagement, and performance tracking to ensure the successful implementation and evolution of Alberta?s EPR system. *Core Responsibilities* *EPR Implementation & Operations* ? Lead the ongoing implementation and operationalization of the EPR framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, bylaws, and policies. ? Monitor and refine operational processes, ensuring the system runs efficiently and effectively for all stakeholders. ? Collaborate with the Manager, EPR Strategy and Regulatory Operations Manager to ensure that EPR system operations align with compliance, reporting, and business planning functions. ? Support the evolution of Alberta?s EPR system, ensuring continuous improvement based on data insights, stakeholder feedback, and regulatory updates. ? Work with interprovincial partners to ensure harmonization where appropriate and alignment with best practices from other jurisdictions. *System Oversight & Coordination* ? Oversee the day-to-day functioning of EPR system operations, ensuring smooth stakeholder interactions and effective data management. ? Identify and resolve operational challenges that may arise, ensuring alignment with regulatory intent. ? Ensure data collection and reporting mechanisms are functioning correctly to support system transparency and accountability. ? Support the development of operational policies and procedures, ensuring clarity for producers, municipalities, and other stakeholders. ? Monitor regulatory and industry trends to anticipate potential challenges and propose proactive solutions *Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management* ? Work with stakeholders, including producers, municipalities, PROs, and service providers, to ensure smooth EPR system operations. ? Facilitate stakeholder education and training sessions, ensuring clarity around operational expectations and regulatory requirements. ? Serve as a liaison between ARMA and external partners, helping to align operational practices with industry needs. ? Represent ARMA in consultations and meetings, ensuring Alberta?s EPR system remains responsive to stakeholder concerns. ? Provide guidance to producers and stakeholders on the operational aspects of the EPR system, including reporting expectations and system functionality *Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement* ? Support the identification and tracking of key performance measures to assess the effectiveness of the EPR system. ? Analyze data trends and system performance to identify opportunities for operational enhancements. ? Work with internal teams to refine processes and reporting structures to better support compliance monitoring and performance evaluation. ? Contribute to reporting and analysis efforts, ensuring decision-making is informed by accurate data. ? Support ongoing refinements to the EPR system, helping to ensure efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness. *Core Competencies* ? EPR Systems & Policy Knowledge: Strong understanding of EPR frameworks, regulatory compliance, and producer responsibility models. ? Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze operational trends, anticipate challenges, and develop solutions. ? Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex information clearly. ? Process Optimization & Problem-Solving: Experience improving operational workflows and addressing system inefficiencies. ?
