Canadian North, the airline serving Nunavut and the Northwest Territories, is set to be sold to Winnipeg-based Exchange Income Corporation, an aerospace acquisition company, for $205M. The owners, Makivvik and the Inuvialuit Development Corporation, stated that the sale will not impact the airline's current operations.
WestJet has signed a 15-year deal with German aircraft services firm Lufthansa Technik that includes the construction of a new engine repair and maintenance station at Calgary’s airport. The $120M facility is scheduled to begin operating in 2027 and is expected to create up to 160 new jobs by 2030.
