Stswecem’c Xget’tem First Nation (SXFN) and West Fraser have signed a memorandum of understanding for a forest management framework. The framework will provide clarity to West Fraser while meeting the economic and cultural concerns of SXFN. Under the agreement, forest stands will be managed to help with wildfire protection while providing economically viable fibre to the region’s mills.

Velocity Truck Centres has merged its Prince George Western Star and Freightliner branches into a single unit which will receive a hydrogen vehicle service bay from Innovate B.C. The company has also partnered with the College of New Caledonia to help train technicians to service hydrogen-powered trucks.
Ulchatko Energy Corporation, the energy management corporation of Ulchatko First Nation, has signed a 20 year purchase agreement with B.C. Hydro to sell energy created from their planned solar farm. The $30m project will receive $16m in provincial and federal funding and will reduce the community's reliance on diesel by approximately 3,300 tonnes of GHG emissions per year. Construction is slated to begin by August and be operational by October 2025.
