The Laiterie de l’Outaouais, a dairy products producer in Gatineau, will add 10 jobs to 35 existing positions following a plant expansion valued at $17M. The governments of Quebec and Canada are partners in the project.
Le Caveau des Trois-Pistoles, a microbrewery in the city of the same name, officially declared bankruptcy. As a result, around 10 jobs were lost.
La Trappe à Fromage, a cheese factory and delicatessen in Gatineau, is investing $9.4M in expanding its factory and purchasing new equipment to increase its productivity. The Government of Quebec is contributing $3.68M to the project.
Kruger, a paper manufacturer, is investing $6.5M in purchasing equipment to diversify production at its Wayagamack Mill in Trois-Rivières. The project will help the company maintain 285 jobs. The provincial government invested $2.5M in the project.
Shango Canada, a multinational mining company, completed the second phase of construction on its plant in Port-Cartier. The plant is scheduled to begin production in September. The company will hire its first employees shortly.
Keurig Dr Pepper Canada, a company specializing in beverages, inaugurated its distribution centre in Beauharnois. The multi-million dollar project, which started in 2023, has helped the company create 130 indirect jobs.
